Every Monday at 7-8:00 PM EST (scheduled 1st session 9/14-11/16).

Course Description:

A overall introduction to various disciplines in science brought down to grade level through use of Power Point, STEM based films , and the
Use of artifacts from museums (on loan to instructor).

General Science Curriculum:
  •  An Introduction to Amazing  Physics  ( students are taught about roundness, density of things here and in space and on being rarified (low density ) here and in space .
  •  Introduction to Gen physics (students are taught complex laws but without the calculus on celestial & terrestrial mechanics, Newtons Laws of Motion applied to everyday objects .
  •  Gen Physical Laws continues with Universal Gravitation, the nature of Entrophy . What is Escape Velocity and we teach them how to do actual calculations with rockets of their own design and blastoff .
  •  A Trip through a Black hole … We explain what would happen if you did this and how it relates to time travel.
  •  Intro to Electromagnetism -we teach magnets, electricity, static electricity . How electricity really works .
  • The Spectrum …we explain about the power of light how it can be a wave and a particle . All about the spectrum and its principles in different wavelengths,
  • The Quantum world …we explain about atoms, invisible particles, the subatomic world .
  • Intro to Chemistry … all about the periodic table of elements , basic chemistry very easy principles not complicated .
  •  WE ARE STARDUST … how the elements on earth arrived as a result of supernova explosions and that our bodies are composed of elements found in stardust.
  •  Intro to Geophysics… a study of earth sciences, exploring the rock cycle, water cycle, atmospheric cycle . How earth was first formed .
  • Earth from Birth to Now .. explains how life developed, the extinctions periods of Earth  dinosaurs (artifacts shown) , volcanoes, earthquake science, ocean science.
  • Atmospheric science ,Intro ..all about our atmosphere , and extreme weather , clouds, lightning, rain, rainbows, amazing types of anomalies in the sky explained .
  • Death by Asteroid ….explore comets, meteors and asteroids, with actual artifacts as examples, explain processes.
  • Environmental Science … Earth ‘s Magnetosphere, ozone layer, greenhouse effect, carbon as an element , extinction periods.
  •  Intro to Astronomy … Study of telescopes, constellations, celestial science and objects ,basic study of planets and physical laws related to space discovery.
  • Intro to Biology .. what is a cell, chemical factories of life, how life developed in the oceans , dna, genetic code
  • This course will cover all physical sciences including Gen physics, earth science, atomic physics and introduction to astrophysics.
Introduction of the Instructor:
Professor Baraket taught all physical sciences esp space and aeronautical emphasis to international STEM senior high school students in National Space Society (NSS) educational program. He is also a certified Space Ambassador for the National Space Society.
Professor Baraket has many years experience teaching secondary school level science, including general physics, earth science, atomic physics and introduction to astrophysics.
