Part Time Instructor for Online Coding Program
Position Summary:  

The Coding Instructor is an exciting position at Princeton :earning Experience International School. The instructor will teach the coding course to the students age between 6 to 16.  
 
Responsibilities and Skills: 

  • Plan, prepare and deliver instructional activities to students in classroom 
  • Critical thinking and troubleshooting skills. 
  • Strong technology skills. 
  • Demonstrate a high level of initiative. 
  • Have excellent communication skills, both oral and written. 
  • Perform the standard teaching method. 
  • Effectively manage the classroom by implementing discipline, time management, and organization consistent with school policy
  • Maintains competency in rules and general information about all aspects of Coding competitions for K-12 students
  • Instruct students in the skills necessary for achievement in the Coding events they are involved in
  • Provides direction to volunteer youth helpers and Coding club leaders
Qualifications: 

  • College students and graduate of core subjects. 
  • Experience with at least one coding language: Python, Java, and Scratch. 
  • Teaching License preferred but not required 
  • Excellent facilitator with the ability to motivate, direct, and train people and collaborate and interact with others effectively and productively. 
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills. 
  • Commitment to excellence and ability to work both independently and in a collaborative environment. 
  • Demonstrated experience in organizing, conceptualizing and prioritizing objectives.
