Every Sunday at 5-6:30 PM EST
Course Description:
This course is designed for high school students who wish to compete in AMC 10 or AMC 12. Students are required to have some background in math competitions or mathematical problem solving. The course is divided intro 4 terms, covering Algebra, Geometry, Number Theory and Combinatorics. This course will not only teach you prerequisite knowledge needed for AMC 10-12, but also, it will build your problem-solving skills and creativity. Classes will be problem-based, with students actively suggesting and sharing ideas to solve the problems together. Each term ends with a special AMC-problems class on that area, where the students will be given tips/shortcuts on how to be both fast and precise on the AMC.
Textbooks: Art of Problem Solving Intermediate Algebra, Art of Problem Solving Introduction to Geometry, Art of Problem Solving Introduction to Number Theory, Art of Problem Solving Intermediate Counting and Probability
Homework: After every class, 10 problems will be assigned for homework. The solutions must be written down, scanned and submitted before next Tuesday 11:59 PM EST. Feedback will be given on the homework assignments.
