PRINCETON LEARNING EXPERIENCE Part-Time Teacher Agreement
Princeton Learning Experience International School (PLE) is pleased to offer you the position of PLE Teacher. Your skills and experience will be an ideal fit for this position.This employment agreement hereby entered into between PLE, the Employer; and you, the contractor.
-The Employee will be paid at the rate of mutual agreement.
-The employer will provide a Form-1099 to the contractor for the tax purposes.
Employer and Contractor agree to the following:
The Employer agrees to employ the Contractor in a part-time/temporary status, and the
Contractor agrees to work for the Employer in the position of PLE Teacher in a
part-time/temporary status. The employment will be renewable upon mutual agreement.
The responsibilities and duties of the contractor shall include:
• Providing a Bio Card with your profile picture and prior credentials pertinent
to the position.
• Providing a two-minute video introducing himself/herself and their course.
• Prepare a half hour Class Introduction video for PLE’s promotional use for the course
taught by the Contractor.
• Providing online teaching services for either one or multiple classes per week. The number
of classes assigned to the Contractor will be agreed upon mutually by the Employer and the
contractor.
• Using a PLE working email for communication of PLE-related work. This email will be
provided by PLE prior to the contractor’s first class period.
• Using the PLE G-Suite (Google Classroom) to assign homework, provide weekly class
summary and individual feedbacks for PLE education only.
• Create and reinforce classroom rules.
• Enter into the online class (Zoom or other video conference platforms) or onsite class on time.
• Be professional and polite in the classes with appropriate dress and appearance; any
inappropriate language or behavior in the class is prohibited; we may request background
check if needed.
• For Online class, teach in a quiet room with appropriate background and lighting; your
Zoom video is expected to be on for the entire class time.
• The Contractor is required to inform the employer of his/her unavailability for the course
schedule before the class starts with a 48-hour advance absent notice. The Contractor will prepare a substitute teacher to backup his/her class in the situation of absence due to personal reason. If the Contractor does not complete the scheduled class teaching for the whole period without advance notice, preparation, and planning, the employer reserves the rights to deduct from the Contractor’s pay an amount equal in value to the loss caused.
• A 48-hour advance absent notice is required if the class cannot be made due to personal
reasons; If you take absence from the scheduled class teaching / tutoring without in advance
notice, we reserve the rights to deduct from the Contractor’s pay an amount equal in value to the time of absence judged at the aforementioned rate.
By accepting employment, the Contractor agrees to:
• NOT disclose any confidential information regarding Princeton Learning Experience, any
persons employed by this school, or our clients learned in the course of your employment
to anyone outside of this school during and within one year after the Contractor’s term of
employment.
• Grant PLE the permission to use the documents or teaching materials created by the
contractor, in perpetuity, for their own internal, Model UN courses. The documents may
not be further sold independent of PLE course.
• NOT receive payment for services offered to students that are current or former customers
of Princeton Learning Experience for up to one year without prior written consent from
PLE.
• Grant PLE the permission to publish to media outlets video and audio recording of the
contractor, provided by the contractor, for promotional and educational purposes during
the time during and before the contractor’s employment. The contractor’s consent
includes the use of edited video in so far as edits preserve the intent and meaning of the
original video. The contractor agrees to not hold PLE financially accountable for any
harm that may arise from such reproduction.
The Contractor’s work schedule will vary according to both the needs of the Employer
and the availability of the Contractor.
Both parties agree that the above list of responsibilities and duties are not exhaustive and may be changed, modified, or increased at the discretion of the Employer insofar as changes are central to the educational mission of PLE’s Model UN course.
