AP US History Review (Tutor is from Department of History at Harvard University)

Every Sunday at 8:00 - 9:30 PM EST.
Course Description:
This review course is all about honing the skills and understanding of the material and tactics that you might not get in the classroom, all aimed at bringing you to a point where you understand more than just the events of American history, but also their causes and significance. Class will be just once weekly, but there will be assignments given for you to work on during the week, full of review questions and writing practice to build your skills as we go. You’ll also have the opportunity to investigate a piece of American history that is particularly fascinating to you and present to others about it.  By the end of this course, you’ll be incredibly ready to score a 5 on the A.P. U.S. History exam and demonstrate your grasp on American history in a tangible way.

OBJECTIVES
  • Get students to a place where they are immensely qualified to do exceptionally well on their A.P. U.S. History exam with a firm grasp on American history. Investigate themes and ideas within the A.P. U.S. History framework that are personally relevant or compelling, gaining a deeper understanding for the exam and beyond.
  • Approach questions linked to documents with a critical view, recognizing exactly what the College Board is looking for while also gaining skills broadly applicable to standardized testing.
  • Sync up content learned in the classroom with exam readiness, also tying in a broader understanding of the eventual college application process and puzzle pieces that feed into it.
Instructor of the Course:
A college student at Harvard University studying History and Literature. If you'd like to know how to get excellent score on AP History which will help you on the higher education and college application, come and join this A.P. United States History Review online course.
